Our Story
From the Air Force to Australia's gym floors
InnerTelligence was founded by Steve Utting, whose career began as a Sergeant in the Royal Australian Air Force. After leaving the RAAF, Steve moved into electronic security, technical training, and commercial system design — eventually helping to develop Inner Range's global training program.
Steve went on to co-found InnerTelligence and created the first 24/7 gym access control system adopted by Jetts Fitness, then supported Jetts' expansion into New Zealand and the Netherlands. That pioneering work established the company as a leader in gym access control and set the foundation for everything that followed.
Today, Steve sets the direction for next-generation access technology, including DoorGuard24 — a software platform that connects multiple access control brands with multiple gym management systems — and MobilePass, giving members smartphone-based entry without fobs or cards. Both are built by our in-house development team.
His career blends defence-grade training, deep technical knowledge, and industry-shaping innovation. That combination drives every system we design, install, and support.
